He was running on a tight budget, which is why i think he could have done college interns, because a free lance experienced developer would charge half if not more than the amount of money he raised total. Also folks are not thinking about the cost to host everything.

Yeah i just looked it up and he raised 82k. Lol He couldnt even afford me honestly. Legit devs are charging 70 to 120 an hour, they'd eat up his budget. Which is why he outsourced it to some brehs who probably are getting paid 10-12 bucks an hour.

I'm talking with some of my friends to make a unified Social media platform, made by and managed by us black americans targeted at black americans.
The idea is you have a short message "quip' feature, a page for posts "like facebook", picture board like instagram, and video posting sharing. Full control by user of public and private posting, groups, and instant messaging with android and ios apps to tie in.

Capital is the issue now, but I think if we can get the marketing down, it might provide a nice black alternative to youtube, facebook, instagram, and twitter.

Yeah. People gotta realize anyone can make an app, its the QUALITY apps that are hard to do. The only time you can get buy without breaking bank is if you are bringing a new thing to the market that nobody has done before, because then you more than likely will grow users rapidly which will either bring in ad revenue or a bigger company will offer to buy you and you cash in. But for stuff like this, people have examples of quality social media networks so you cant half ass. He might have been better off just creating a message board with a good mobile layout/app.
