Street Vendors in NYC just call it "Red Sauce" and "White Sauce". Never knew the proper names for either, all I know is . Not every place sells it though, it's a very specific kind of hot sauce some of them have that's delicious. Rafiqi's (red and yellow with smiley face) is my favorite, they have multiple spots in the city.

You've gotta get used to it for that not to happen. I've eaten from NYC delis and street vendors my whole life. My intestines are immune to city cuisine.
