What did he see in her? A reflection of his own personality. On some level he likes that she's willing to lose her job and get a criminal record to see him.
But water seeks its own level. Something is wrong with him if he was willing to be in a relationship with someone like that. He's either desperate for any female companionship, or she was good enough at hiding her mental illness that he didn't suspect anything until it was too late.
A LOT of people are like this. Women get a pass from men, because too many of us write off serious mental illness as "just women acting crazy as usual" nah breh, that ISN'T usual. Your girl needs a psychiatrist and you need to be chilling at home away from her before it's too late.
This the kind of woman to crash out, then blame him for "making" her do this and then subsequently get him killed because it's "his fault" her life is ruined. It's not decisions she made, it's somehow his fault in her mind. She's delusional to the point where even after the cop told her what would happen if she didn't listen to his orders, she continued to act like he'd just let her go because she decided to comply AFTER he showed her he was serious.
