Y'all ever have someone steal your credit / debit card info?

Had some similar shyt happen maybe in August 2016. My capital one card got compromised thru ebay. I got the wallet app that alerts me of any purchases. Most of my cards have that. And since I only have my gym membership on there, when I saw a few eBay purchases going thru while at work I was like hold up a sec. Called the card company, called PayPal, eBay, filed police reports and everything. Most of the packages was stopped but one got sent out, a phone I believe. Passed by the house which it was delivered to, had to be a female cuz they ordered some lingerie or some female items, but I wasn't gonna pull up cuz I ain't bout that life, I don't know if that was just a drop spot, or what they were capable of. Luckily I got reimbursed for all losses. Sucks for the seller that sent that phone. I keep track of everything now and even so, shyt like that can still happen.

also one time i was splashing out at the nike and supreme store and my bank cancelled my shyt as soon as i tried to pay for my agc boots, had to call up my bank right there and then at the nike store using their phone and the cashier was looking at me like i was a scammer but the thing was i was just spending alot of cash in like a small space of time with my card

thats why i never swipe and use my debit card, only swipe credit cards. if they hit your debit card, thats YOUR money. if they hit your credit card, its the banks money who gives a fukk. cut it in half and get a new one while they try to get their money back

Let my best friend stay with me due to her having issues at home with her dad. After a month of staying, I told her she gotta go because she was filthy.
Before telling her to bounce, I applied for Capital One and Discover credit cards. A month went by, homegirl was already out, and I didn’t get my cards. I called both companies and they were like
“Don’t be alarmed but your cards were activated and used.”
We’ve been friends for years so there has been times we shared infos with eachother like ssn. What further proved it was her was she still had bills coming to my place so I saw her T-Mobile bill being paid with the last 4 of my card numbers.
After 3 days, everything was reversed and placed back on the cards.
I didn’t search for her, cuss her out or nothing. I left shyt to Karma.. this happened 3 years ago. We just got back in contact like 2 months ago. She was telling me how miserable her life became after I kicked her out, how she ended up pregnant, went to jail & how her identity got stolen.

Was checking my creditscore one day, for no particular reason, on creditkarma. Soon as i logged in, there was an alert, for a new walmart card being processed for a walmart in florida; i live in louisiana. I pressed hold on the go through of it. Told ck that my id had been stolen to sign up for that card, and within minutes equifax,transunion, and experian had that shyt on lock. After that i called walmart in florida, told them what was going on, and they cancelled it. All of this was done relatively quick, to my surprise. A few days later rhe mark in my credit score was taken off, and i was back to normal.

Not credit card info, ssn. Was living with friend splitting a house. He starting dating this crazy ass bytch, she took it upon herself to go through my room and find something with my ssn on it. She proceeded to file a joint tax return saying her and I were married and living at the same address.

I found all this out after I moved out when I got letters from the IRS and State Tax agency after I tried filing my own single return. Took years to get that shyt sorted out, had to file ID theft with IRS and now get a special code for filing taxes.

bank refunded the money back in 2 days

As I am in the UK, it always seems the withdrawals are outside of the country. There was one time when they blocked a large cash deposit, but the fraud department cancelled it because they know I never take out more than £100, once in a blue moon

had this happen to me about five years ago. had a white woman on the phone looking through all the wrong transactions and then took em off and asked me if they wanted me to press charges after finding the scumbag who did it and i hit her with the 'don't bother ms. romanov, i'll kill him myself.' i was the man that day brehs.

my brother got mugged once (he was dolo) and them fools started using his debit card at the liquor store right away and were all caught up by morning.

A few years ago some dude was hurting the Nike store in Europe for a few of my racks. Had to cut the credit card company up and get that back.
