If your comparing that to college and attending classes and taking test, yes they do.

If your an active gang members you have to attend meetings, and will get tested, for example the GD's. One of my good friends in college was an active GD and pledge Phi Beta Sigma, and he talked about how you had to attend meeting (like class) learn and memorize the literature (study) and spit you lit (like a test) and if you failed you would get punished (just like how frats paddle) . That is just like a GPA in college.

Biker gangs are also bad :russ:
The need to equivocate bad behavior across race, ethnicity, and even class has to get a little tiring.

They're organized criminal groups whose goal is the hyperexploitation of their community - under the guise of a long-since-dead claim of "protection" that only had relevance for a small number of teenagers in the 60s.

Now they're lumpenproletariat who function as inlets for police to surveil their neighborhoods and to ensure cheap labor for prisons.

You sound like a cop...gangs in the black community aint the same
yeah alot them are into crime...but its not that simple....some of it is just for survival in your nieghborhood or city
or you repping your block....everyone in the gang is not networking to do crime...its really not that much structure as you think
stop watching tv

As an outsider gangbanging looks like a mental illness to me but I understand most are born into it.

If I was born in a different city or born to different parents I myself might be out here gangbanging so I don't look down on anybody.

I just hate that it's allowed to be GLORIFIED to the world In rap music as something "cool", fun and appealing.

Probably part of the prison industrial complex plan to keep their buildings full of black people.....make it look fun via "entertainment".

It's good to see Baby Gangsta come out to pay respects to Crip Jaccie..

I don't expect anyone that didn't grow up in Southern California to understand gang culture.

ECC is a huge Crip gang! They have a lot of numbers and stretch from 1st Street to 190the street plus have a hood in Riverside (1200 Blocc) as well as satellite hoods in Fresno and Stockton. I partially grew up in one of their sections.

I never agreed with gang banging because I knew what came with that lifestyle, but over time I grew to accept that said lifestyle is here to stay and isn't going anywhere not to mention seen how this lifestyle spread across the country as well as the world.
