It was 27 of L.A.’s (then) most active gangs, brought together to make an album, with each hood making their own “hood theme song”.
I bring it up because, surprisingly – and setting the gang violence and Black self-hate talk aside – some of these cats ACTUALLY made some bangin’ ass songs.
The Nutty Blocc song and Bloodstone Villians song, in particular, are pretty hot.
Anybody else ever seen this documentary or heard any of these songs?
