Any experiences working for a Black boss? In college, I worked at my school library for about 2.5 years. My boss was a Black lady in charge of the library. It was great because she hired people of all races but she also made sure to put Black people on by giving us jobs. The staff was mostly Black, with a few Hispanics and even fewer Whites/Asians.

At first she seemed distant as she would feel you out and kind of see what your personality and work ethic was like. And then once she got to know you she would get closer to you. Me and her clicked so well because she completely understood all my struggles as a young Black male. She used to give me all kinds of advice and motivation :mjcry:

That job had to be one of the best working experiences of my life. To have a kind Black boss like that and then to be surrounded by friendly coworkers that also were Black :blessed:

After awhile it didn't even feel like I was at work, it just used to feel like I was getting tasks done along with family. I had to leave the job behind though after graduating college since me and my fam were getting ready to move. My last day there was mad sad, all kinds of hugs and emotional goodbyes. :to:

My boss ended up giving me one final hookup which was her letter of recommendation that helped me get the job I have now in Cali :banderas:
Nothing but love and respect for her and my former coworkers :wow:

More of us need to experience what it is like to work amongst our own people, instead of working in awkward situations for different races.

The job I had prior to my current job was working under a black woman.

I worked there for 6 years and was honestly spoiled. She understood the struggle of being a Mom, student, and full time employee AND the health issues I have so she cut a lot of corners with me. I miss her. :mjcry:

I heard they fired her a few months after I quit.

no but I provided IT support for a department who had a black boss - my actual boss was located in another state - but what a time that was to be alive :whew: .....DAILY fckery...of course he abused his power, hired his peoples, fcked the hoes in the dept., fired dudes who tried to get at his broads or made him look bad in front of his broads, clowned on everybody - the daily roasting sessions we had were CLASSIC - I was always able to GO IN on homie with no worries because he didn't have the power to fire me....awesome times man! I miss that dude for real for real

Yeah,I love to see it:mjcry:....Then you realize yall both got plans to fukk the same bytches, and you got the boss feeling some type of way:why:.

It can be a gift and a curse unfortunately,i still would rather take my chances with a black boss....As sad as it is when they do some fukk shyt to disappoint you:mjcry:

I will admit sometimes that disappoint comes from expectations I have, just because they black....But sometimes its them acting funny because they are black....I get the pressure they under though, but that don't make me feel better about it.

I've had three-sixblack managers. Currently this bruh who's Jamaican is a bit off, but he's gotta do his job so it's whateva.

I'm gonna be honest, sadly one was just fair, which is all I ask from a boss. Plus he respected my honesty during my interview. The other was the army bruh, he was a shytty manager who blew off the job(but he was a sociable dude and easy to get along with) and ended up getting fired. But he was connected with jobs so he was decent.

my worst was this Haitian night manager who tried to fire every single day, and I'm not bull shytting.
