Good for EDM shyt. Not so good for rap.

It goes for it more than it did on the OS beta though. I can appreciate that. There was alot of hip hop stuff it didn't even try previously.

Edit: I will say this is probably the best software feature I've seen Apple release in many many years tbh.

It's closer to something like a DJ mix than just cross fades. BPM switches, seeking the best point at the beginning of a song to come in at, actual volume wind down and build ups, etc.

I swear they do their best to play personal selections of Universal approved music from Jimmy Iovine’s iPod

*plays Rio da Yung OG*
next song up: “dadeedadeedahhhh,
It’s the one and only D-R-E
(Dr. Dre motherfukkahhh!)
*plays Larry June*
next song up: if you had … one shot, and one opportunity to seize everything you ever wanted … would you capture it, or let it slip
Palms are sweaty, knees weak and arm’s are heavy
Mom’s spaghetti

It literally does do this though, if you play obscure stuff or independent stuff it immediately and/or often will redirect you to legacy industry Hip-Hop - usually from Interscope and Def Jam/Universal umbrellas

YT Music is supposed to be more closely connected to Sony, but recommendations are usually pretty good
