You gotta figure out your lane fashion wise and then follow blogs, and youtube channels and shyt that cater to it

You a hipster? dress hipster
You a hypebeast? dress hypebeast
You a nerd? dress nerdy

Your clothing first and foremost is an extension of your personality.
Its what gives people the first impression of you

Think about your personality and how you want people to view you and pick a type of style that and colors that reflect that

You ask for a lot of advice on here bro how old are you?

Great post! I definitely co-sign! But, OP's thread comes off as him low key trying to clown people who shop at the mall although that might not be his intention.

For me, I sometimes go to the local mall, but I mostly shop online for gear that reflect my style and personality.

I almost never go to the store to buy kicks because they don't sell what I like. If I need dress clothes, then will hit up a store that sells them.

Other than that, you spoke the truth!

Salute!

Proper fit > name brand

fukk a label and focus on the fit.

Dropping a stack on an expensive piece doesn’t mean shyt if it doesn’t fall right.
This!

Find brands that make their clothes in fits that go well with your body type. also remember, sizes are not standardized so a large with one brand is not gonna be the same as a large with another. it's just to give you an idea. you can also buy inexpensive jeans/shirts and spend an extra 10/15$ to have them tailored and now you look like you know what you're doing.

and if you want to get even deeper into it:
