I keep my white liqour in the freezer and all my dark liqour out
when you buy any liquor from anywhere, whether it be the abc store or from a place with a liquor license, it's never chilled. why would you chill it at your house?![]()
and at that point, it's about the ice melting into the liquor and creating a new texture and taste...
FREEZER
very true for whiskey. vodka is supposed to be served chilled though...no ice
googled around and it seems with vodka at least its not recommended to be frozen
ideal temperature should be 40-45 degrees Fahrenheit
this is from vodka manufacturers' websites
here's Absolut's take on it
We don't recommend that you drink the vodka very ice-cold. The perfect serving temperature is approx 5-8 C. You can of course put the vodka in the freezer, but the colder vodka you have the more flavor & smell is lost.
