Bruh my people are from Goodrich Texas,Lake Charles,North Louisiana, New Orleans ,and all settled in Houston.Im 2nd Generation born and raised in Htown.I say all this to say we country we put gizzards and liver in our dirty rice ,ham hocks in our greens. We use saltpork to cook beans ,but the younger generation all played some kind of sport and went military so our diet is clean on the day to day.Its Thanksgiving though put your foot in the damn pot

Me and the fam don’t mess with no swine in our greens whatsoever. Just add turkey necks in that joint and let it simmer overnight and it’s on the next day
