I still listen to it and I find new stuff I like week after week on the project.

I play a lot of GTA San Andreas and it's actually the perfect soundtrack. It goes hard in the whip. I can throw it on around the house.

Great addition to his catalog and really dope use of resources from an artist of his level of fame.

Thread is a classic example of nobody saying anything and then suddenly, out of nowhere... "MAN, KENDRICK SUCKS!".

I still bump it every now and then. It's a really dense album musically and lyrically, so you can't just "enjoy" the album in that sense. If you're musical palate is just trap beats and what's on the top 40 It's going to be a really hard listen for the average listener.
This album is NOT TPAB no matter how hard y’all try to push that narrative.

Listening to ”The Heart part IV” and realizing he didn’t have a rap performance that good ALL of last year and on that album. It was a miss
If not for that song I would have straight up said he's completely regressed as a rapper. Even the rapping I like on the album, like Father Time, feel clumsier than it's been in the past. The best rapping is prob on the first track, which I really like. Just sounds like someone who needed more focus and simplicity, who is so knee deep in everything being a concept that he's missing the forest for the trees.

Not a bad album. But I didn't expect this level of quality drop-off. Zero chance we don't get another album in a year or two IMO. I need a turning of the page on this entire era for him. And less Keem...

“See it’s a good album if you a fan of music, but not a fan hip-hop, but if you a fan of hip-hop music you can still listen to the album because it’s more of a recorded piece of art, you know what I’m saying? See, it’s an opaque art piece because it’s not easy to see through what he’s doing, but it’s also transparent because Kendrick is so open about his life, you know what I’m saying? So basically it’s a classic”
