There are more complexities to NY artists not getting on. Payola is one and P.D.( Program Director) has a list of songs that the Radio Personalities have to play based off the labels liking. Alot of DJ's who still work for the stations only play hometown favorites late in the night or over the weekend like 12am. This is why alot of well known DJ's have been going to Satellite Radio b/c they have more freedom to play the songs they like and support.

Maino sucks and has a shytty work ethic. Uncle Murda, I'd be happy if he didn't try to sell out and be mainstream, the public ain't ready for that and I think he's pretty satisfied with where he's at career wise.

The identity of New York hip-hop changed...you can't knock the kids for liking what they like.

The sad thing about these threads is you could go on youtube and find mad NYC rappers video's, songs, etc. But even if they were posted in this thread, y'all would find a way to hate on them cause they have to fit some unrealistic criteria of what an NYC rapper is to you.
