All this number crunching for financials that don't concern you. :mjtf:

As a consumer, why in God's name should I be worried about development costs or companies profit margins? Many game's final product don't even justify a $60 price tag and the price of the brick is going up $10 more? Yeah right. :rudy:

:dahell: Them upping the price ain't gonna change shyt. They still gonna put the same amount of microtransactions in the game probably even more with no new features or upgrades from the last game fukk outta here with that bullshyt
I'm legit saving that post for a year or so after the PS5s launch. Probably won't even have to wait that long.

just think about how bad Nintendo was raping cats on cartridge prices in the 90s..... :mjlol:
the price of cartridges was semi-justified since it contained a pcb, rom, ram, processors, co-processors, batteries, etc

rape is how much they charge for an optical disc, and then when they charge the same amount for digital

You gotta be really oblivious or retarded to think these companies gonna do away with microtransactions and all the other bullshyt because they upped the price $10

I mean 2k/take two is full of shyt. But these other titles have rising cost of development(we just saw Halo having a 500 million dollar budget and that’s before marketing and other factors) and feel that they aren’t getting as much revenue compared to movies and other entertainment(you getting over say a years worth of entertainment from 2k or COD compared to one or two from a movie. How many hours is that?) And like I said most of these companies are moving away from season passes and micros. So a ten dollar increase when its been almost 20 years since a standard price change isn’t that bad an ask.

It’s ten dollars :mjlol: Y’all broke ass nikkas need to worry about other things if this is a deal breaker for you

Low key, keeping it a buck, I did want to say this. fukk, I just did, you went first. :russ:. We got nikkas celebrating the sales of games in threads but gets heated at this. Yes, sales are higher but we don't know much these companies are putting into these games as far as money. Halo Infinite is rumored to carry a 500 million price tag, definitely an outlier as far as cost but if they pocket an an extra $10 off of 10 million copies sold, that is $100 million in revenue. Why would they turn this down? They aren't our friends, they are a business. Yes, hobbies that involve price hikes can price people out of said hobby. I fail to see how an extra $10 is going to be like squeezing blood from a stone. We got away with 15 years of games being at a relatively stable price. It was a good run. I will also say that not all games will be deserving of that price tag but for the Last of Us, God of War and Halo type games, they should have them. It's all about how you perceive value. My purchasing habits aren't going to change and I only buy what I want when I see that it carries a price tag that seems appropriate. I'm not paying $69.99 for something like Kena when I get my PS5 this year. That's principle but for others like an Assassin's Creed and yes, 2K21, I'm not going to mind it too much. Just like now.
