I see women on twitter doing their own box braids. Maybe we need to have our own clippers. BUT! Women can mess up a box braid, and take it out, and continue to practice. We only have once chance to do the hairline.

If we mess it up, it takes weeks to get another try.


Plus, barbershops are one of the few black owned businesses that isn’t easily infiltrated, and I’d hate to see the brehs go out of business.
