I only eat ocean fish. Haddock, Cod, Grouper, snapper, salmon

My granddad used to eat brim, sunfish, bass, shark, perch.....shyt any kind of fish you can catch. But he used to throw back catfish. He viewed them as trash that cleaned up shyt

A lot of old heads did... My grandfather only caught catfish from specific streams.... he used to say all catfish aint good for ya..... and that was for good reason of course...... brim and perch still go hard if cleaned and cooked properly...... small brim got too many lil bones tho imo

Salmon is top tier fish... but it's been expensive at the fish market last time I went...

Farm raised is kind of affordable in a sense... but that wild caught... your bag better be in order to eat that on a consistent basis....

I've been wanting to buy some fish and fry them up in my Skillet... But these prices is crazy.

There used to be a old breh at the barbershop who would go home to Connecticut and catch them, filet them and sell the Filet for 20 bucks a piece. When you cut the filet up there would be enough for about 4-5 portions. He would bring his pickup truck there and you pick out which ones you wanted. I would buy 4 filet and my wife would clean them, season them and put them in a West Indian spicy brown sugar marinade . Vacuum seal them and put them in the deep freezer and we would be good for months.

I never had spear fish, hear it's good as hell.
