And like I said in the threads when this track dropped, the real beauty of the song comes from Keyon Harrold on the horns. People get so stuck on Nas harmonizing that they never pay attention to how ill that trumpet flows with the Jarreau vocal sample.

The song has also been featured in at least 2 commercials that I know of for multi-million dollar corporations. It couldn't be nearly as terrible as the internet seems to think if Visa was using it for their biggest ad campaign during the Olympics.

The track don't work to me. It's a stunt, a lyrical exercise that should not have been released as a single. But I know Nas love fukking with the audience from time to time. And I don’t got a problem with rappers or any musician experimenting and doing shyt outside the box though even if it don't work

But far as shytting on the music itself, the instrumental, I never got that. It's literally a classic jazz track from the 50s

I love jazz, that's a great song and album but the main sample is from an Al Jarreau cover and that shyt is corny as fukk in a rap setting. Fine with it outside of that context but man...

Don't sample this guys lol.

Nas is one of my favorite artists of ALL TIME! I appreciate what he was going for, especially with his pops being a jazz musician, but this is not, and I repeat with emphasis, IS NOT, a good song.

Ball this thread up and throw it in a burning barrel being hovered over by bums in a 1980's NY movie.
