If they ask you for money, ask them for what. If they refuse to tell you what they gonna use it for on some mind your own business shyt, then give your money to someone more considerate and respectful to you.

Its cool if you want to think your $5 prevented a crime, but the reality is if your $5 stopped that one person from bussing someones head today, whos $5 is going to stop him from bussing someones head tomorrow? You can't keep relying on that type of system to protect and assist people.

Think long term breh. If you give a funky lil $5 and tomorrow he's back out with his hand out, what did your $5 do? Nothin. That like you having a hole in your roof, and you bein like "Its ok, watch this" and you wipe up the floor but you dont fix the leak. It might not rain tomorrow but when it rains again guess what, your floor is gonna be wet again. Cure the disease dont just treat the symptoms.

I pay my taxes and assist with homeless drives (donating clothes, food, and toiletries to shelters).

Im drunk ass hell coming out the gas station a few weeks ago and gave this young looking bum couple 5 dollars.. Days later I couldnt find my wallet and it was in the washer with my work pants.. Moral of the story, never give broke people money.. EVER

But yeah I'm a bleeding heart. Usually I don't carry cash but I will go and get an entire meal and bring it back to help. Sometimes it's a lot sadder than you think. Dudes just got out of jail and frustrated at possibly having to do illegal shyt to survive which might lead to them going BACK to jail, military vets, pregnant homeless chicks with kids. I especially feel concerned about the elderly. It just hits something visceral to see a beautiful old lined face that should be treated with dignity, on the streets with no one. I hate feeling powerless to help people...
