lots of punk and indie bands these days are putting out tapes again. they are cheap and give you something to sell on the road if you don't have a vinyl record yet.. one of my favorite powerviolence/hardcore bands SCAPEGOAT put out a cassette for their winter 2010 tour and i jam that fukker all the time. my hardcore band ROT shyt made a quick cassette for less than $100 (purple like RAEKWON's :jawalrus: ) when we played a festival in Miami in '09. i have a dual technics cassette deck that sounds dope i got for $10.

I remember some albums didn't fit well, and there would be mad blank space at the end. I would get bummed cause I would have to waste my batteries FF through that shyt. a lot of tapes like that I would just flip it and fukk the first few songs on the other side :manny:

You was rich.

I always wanted a Walkman that could record the radio

No, I recorded songs off the radio from my brother's boombox or mother's stero :jawalrus:

Remeber, when you learned by playing with the bass and trebble, how to record songs without the fuzzy static :lawd:

man i got stupid tape stories

first tape was mc lyte - lyte as a rock

used to open the tape and take that brown shyt out. sometimes that shyt made the tape drag

one time bought a wack ass tape, opened it and spooled the whole shyt backwards so the store would take it back "this shyt playing backwards!" (i think it was YZ's first album)

ever fix a popped tape with crazy glue? fukkit only sacrificed a few seconds at the most

first learned to loop/sample on a double tape deck

auto-reverse walkman = godly
