It's funny, you think with how culturally ingrained simping is now that the music about it would be better.

These threads always head in the same direction lol. You will be told it's out here you just aren't digging deep enough.
Exactly the problem is that it ISN'T MAINSTREAM so majority of people you talk RnB with gonna spout what's trending

To me, Mint Condition is the last legit band in the past 30 years.
I would probably consider Jodeci one although they drifted away from it over the years. But I guess they dropped the same year.

I'm tired of hearing this excuse.

This is why the music is in the damn shape it's in right now, because of BS like this.

So why don't y'all support the good shyt that ain't mainstream, so that it becomes mainstream?

Although it seems the pendulum is swinging back the other way for the 2020s, that's what hip hop did in the 2010s; it embraced lyricism and content over watered down, nonsensical bullshyt.

I do with my streams on Spotify but I'm not going to concerts and shyt or stanning anyone dude. Something being mainstream has less to do with me and more to do with everyone else and what the music industry is pushing and what people allow them to push
