Reddit is far too large to be generalized. I avoid the main topics and stick to niche hobby DIY based stuff where the people are cool as fukk and actually try to help you out. Why bother even trying to tackle politics or race on there?
Like anywhere online, including here, perceived anonymity let's people say the worst shyt with their chest, act in bad faith, clout chase and spread negativity to feel better about their situation etc etc. It's just a larger community with a lot more activity and reach
