In the sky
They gon keep sending these hacks to try to dissuade us, and tell us the movement is dead.

Yvette and Tone are gay. Its LGBT, its ant-immigrant, they lost #K subscribers, Yvette live in her parents basement (maybe they have a nice house). Tone got fired from being a lawyer (he still graduated, got a JD and passed the bar). Dr. Darity gay....Yvette on narcotics. She's a lesbian. They dont want black people to be successful.........and all this other dumb shyt that dont matter. At this point they will say whatever.

They movement is bigger than them now...they are merely researchers at this point, And the provide direction and point us to academics who do real research. Can't question the accomplishments of real academics now can you.

Tariq done been dispatched to try to co-opt the movement and make it "hollywood", and also provides folks with the ability to confound the movements and claim ADOS is anti-immigrant, and have some sort of beef with other blacks in the diaspora.

Pay them no mind whatsoever and keep marching forward.

Individuals on here may have said that if candidates don't meet their demands than they won't vote at all but local ADOS groups and the #ADOS have never said "don't vote, stay home". We've always said show up at the polls and vote on local races and issues. If the top ticket Dem candidate is still not meeting our demands then use the write -in option.
These local candidates are all affiliated with either the democrats or republicans. So you’re not getting around supporting the 2 major parties by voting locally.

Your “write-in a candidate” option is even more strange. What good is writing in a candidate who has no shot of winning? Telling black people to write-in candidates is the same as telling them to stay at home or vote republican.

Let me clarify then

Vote Trump out

If you're not there yet, then I am trying to get you there

Wouldn't it make more sense to get someone on the left

ELECETED

then try to muscle them up on their

RE-ELECTION?

How can a candidate pay reparations to us before they are elected?

We'd be better off trying to muscle someone who is actually in the position (president). Since the person in the actual position can do things, whereas the candidates running for the position cannot do anything. Cause they don't have the position yet.

Makes sense right?

The other "plan" is really just a plan to stop Black people from voting. Voting Trump out.

Its irresponsible and reckless. Its like letting someone drive drunk.

Except he's driving the entire planet

We need a commitment from the candidate first. We tried that strategy that you mentioned with Obama. People would say "oh you know he can't do nothing for black folks". In a way they were right because we never demanded a commitment from Obama when he ran in 2008.

People would say "okay he got re-elected, now he gonna hook us up". Never happened.

We've been burned too many times. We are making our demands known well before the candidate is chosen.
I feel you on getting rid of Dumpf but that is not black folks responsibility!! We've been good soldiers for the Dems for decades. They could make this easier on themselves and start listening to the demands of their most loyal voters.

The ball is in the Dems court. Either stop playing with black folks and come with the solutions we need and have a strong chance of beating Dumpf or go limping into the General Election against Dumpf.

1. Find out who’s running in your election.

2. Determine what you want, preferably with other like minded ADOS in “Black organizations” like your local church; local NAACP chapter, and/one your ADOS chapter if you have one.

3. Once you and your local people got an agenda, step to these candidates at their events and state exactly what you want.

4. If come Election Day, none of these candidates plan to do what you want, simply vote for the refreredums.

The write-in wouldn't be for a candidate but we would write in "ADOS" or "#ADOS" for the Presidential race.

Each person would have to make their own decision regarding the local races, yeah you can't get around the big 2. But the strategy is to show (if the Dems are smart enough to closely examine the ballots and be honest about the results win or lose) that we support Dems at the local and state level but the Presidential candidate was still missing something for us.

If they examine the ballots closely they should start questioning who are these ADOS people and why did most of them support Democrats but not the Dem Presidential nominee. Why did we not get those votes?

Then what? The democratic pres candidate loses, trump gets 4 more years to solidify systematic white supremacy and what do we ados get other than less voting rights to support potential ados friendly candidates in the future, and more racist judges on the SC and federal bench?

I whole heartedly agree with 1-3. How does #4 help us tho? How does allowing the republican candidates win without putting up a fight help our cause going forward? I can tell you how it hurts our cause, but can you tell me how abstaining at any level helps?

What’s y’alls home states respectively?

I'm in MD.

It will suck but we have to draw a line at some point otherwise Dems will never take us seriously if they now we will show up to vote without any specifics for us.

If a Dem wins but feels they have to do nothing for black folks then what do we get? The same shytty status quo many of us were asleep under during Obama.

I'm not doing that Van Jones "black folks gotta be the ones to save Democracy" crap anymore. You want our help, it comes with a price.

I would never ride with ADOS if we were telling black folks to stay home.

Tariq, PBT, Boyce, AdviseShow Phil and those type of folks always scream "voting don't work", "stay home", "voting is useless". "stop begging the whiteman", this type of dangerous crap. With no nuance or discussion about how every election has local initiatives and important positions (like judges, sheriff's etc) you need to vote on.
Unless PBT has changed his tune from a few years ago, he's NEVER been against voting locally. With his channel being taken down, it's hard to find the video essays, but he was fine with voting locally, just against voting on a national level.

Letting the Dems lose after refusing to abide by our agenda, might cause them to get some “act right” and come harder for us next election. :dame:

ADOS got three options.
  1. We continue to religious vote Dem, even after they continue tocommit to not doing shyt for us, thus we stay at the bottom.
  2. Say “fukk all these candidates” w/o actually going to them and demanding what you want. You still don’t get shyt.
  3. Advocate for what we collectively, and let them know that we won’t support them unless they do what we want.
It’s been proven time and time again, that we’ll lose with options 1-2. Is option 3 guaranteed to work? No, but we can’t keep doing shyt don’t work(options 1-2), we gotta send these candidates a message that we ain’t to be played w/ and you might lose w/o our support.

I’m in a “blue city”(NYC) but they had a Repub mayor less than 20 y/o ago as well as a governor.

Those two are needed, I'm watching Yvette right now, she is the truth. She ain't backing down from Tariq, but she's telling the truth, the growth of the movement proves this. For me, they elevated.my thinking in politics, especially Yvette. She reminds me of my aunt who was a teacher, and was always straight up with me, Yvette ain't no joke:mindblown:

THATS THE THING! Why the hell is she wasting time with Tariq????:dahell: When there's bigger issues?:dahell:

exactly.....

until these people can get coherent on something serious....i refuse to take them serious....

wasting time on 2 hour youtube videos arguing with Tariq is not productive
