I read a comment from a UK person on IG I think, and they were actually apologizing for sending their trash over here to the United States… then I thought about it.
They actually DID send their worst of the worst over here. Rapists, murderers, drunks, lazy, etc… then they took over the land by befriending the Natives and backstabbing them with diseased blankets and the stealing/killing of their lands.
Like, they didn’t fight the Natives in a conventional war/battle. They didn’t know the land like that so they basically poisoned them from within. Slavery came after that because they didn’t want to farm the land themselves, didn’t want to pay other whites to do it (not that they wanted to), and couldn’t find/catch enough natives to do it.
Thats the history they want erased but that IS their history.
Tolerating fukked up shyt as a difference of opinion is 1000% leading us down this road. Same with open racism: it becomes less taboo and an accepted alternative rather than a closeted, marginalized wink and nod that can cause you to lose all social standing.

The inhabitants of the British islands were always viewed as lesser than by southern Europeans, so imagine how awful you have to be for people from a culture viewed as trash to view you as even lower class than them and basically pawn you off onto others.
