The would be robbers body language was off. You can tell when someone is trying to lull you into a false sense of security. They behave in a manner that is clearly intimidating (encroaching on personal space, exaggerated movement, talking lot of nonsense), but deliberately paint it as friendly so you feel obligated to respond with civility.
