Not since DeathRow prime days I haven't messed with West Coast,
All the DeathRow affiliated artist I still mess with till this day but I dont mess with the newer heads that came out. None of them had bars, maybe Tyler recently but it's only recently I feel he is embracing the West sound. Game is trash, K Dot trash, and etc.
The new young west coast artist spend too much time dissing 2Pac like 'Vince Staples'.

I like some west coast artists but west coast music hasn’t had the west coast sound & vibe since mid 2000’s.
I’ll always peep artists like Evidence & Blu for example but I wouldn’t accompany their style & music with traditional west coast music.

I like like intricate slick talk type bars.
Like a Nas, Raekwon, Mase, Prodigy and etc.
If they havent got that I still am a fan of good music it is just I dont get a chance to dig in the crates these days.

Nobody makes better music than the west coast, specially right now.
Modern wc artists are also a lot more complete than the previous ones, they're fully developped artists and songwriters. The likes of Snoop, Pac, Dre, etc, can be described as "vibe artists" in retrospect. I mean, none of them probably understood how blue notes work, or even syncopation.
