Y'all think any of the 2018 NBA prospects can be superstars?

I think this draft will be the deepest we've had in a minute but I don't see any of these guys being legit superstars in the league. I'm talking 25+ ppg any given season, leading their team to conference finals/NBA finals. I really don't see a first option on a championship team right now. Hope I'm wrong though.

I know its too early to tell. Just tryna make predictions.

Ayton, Bagley, Porter, Doncic, Bamba:patrice:

I don’t watch the college game so I can’t comment on that

I just hope my Mavs get one. We already have our pg for the next decade plus, time to find another cornerstone:blessed:

Also Phoenix and Sacramento should not be allowed another lottery pick after this year. They'll have like 5 top ten drafted players in the last 8 drafts on their team. They gotta learn how to develop.

That's how they should fix the draft you can only have 2 top 5 picks in a row, no more than 4 top ten picks or something like that. That's just a rough draft, NBA got folks a lot smarter than me to clean that up:hubie:

Deep star talent, lacking in superstar talent.

Ayton, Doncic, Bagley, Bamba, Jackson Jr., Porter, and Young all have all-star talent, they all have really glaring concerns though

Sure Ayton or Doncic could turn into superstars, but it'd take some major changes that don't appear to be the most fixable. Like Ayton's problems protecting the rim aren't even effort related, he just doesn't see things or read plays like you need him to.

None of them show me the superstar talent AD, Embiid, Weed Plate, Simmons, Fultz, etc. did on draft night

Wiggins showed you superstar potential? His freshman year at Kansas was disappointing in my opinion. I saw a guy with a weak motor and basic handle who struggled going left, all-time type athlete with a streaky shot, strong on-ball defender at the college level but struggled to impact the game in other ways. Wiggins came into the season as the projected first pick, by the end Embiid stole his shine and was going to go first if he didn't get injured. Since HS, I always thought Jabari Parker>Andrew Wiggins.

DeAndre Ayton, Marvin Bagley, Trae Young were definitely more impressive. :hubie:

@Swagnificent called Tatum and ball being great players. Need his opinion on stars this draft. we already know he gave MPJ hthem p*ssy eyes so he’ll be a bust

- DeAndre Ayton is the most likely to be a superstar but he isn't a sure thing. His look bothers me. He looks similar to Greg Oden and we all know what happened to him.
- Michael Porter Jr. is already a certified bust. I called it before he even played. He's destined to be trash. I could see it in his eyes.
- Marvin Bagley III is at best gonna be an empty stats type of star (ala Karl Anthony-Towns) or at worst a straight up bust (ala Michael Beasley). His problem is he has no position. He's too small to be an ideal PF but he also lacks the skills and athleticism to be a SF. What he measures should be interesting. It'll let us know a lot.
- Luka Doncic is a euro guard with limited athleticism. That alone should let people know he ain't gonna be a superstar.
- Trae Young is a joke. Too small and unathletic to be taken seriously. Also looks like he's already 45 years old with that hairline.
- I actually like Mohamed Bamba. I think he can be a Rudy Gobert type rim protector. He's probably the surest thing in this draft when it comes to knowing what you will get.

All in all, I think this class is vastly overrated. If I had the 1st overall pick, I would take DeAndre Ayton. He has the chance to be the 2nd best center in the NBA going forward after Joel Embiid. With the 2nd overall pick, I would take Mo Bamba. I think he can be a defensive dynamo like Rudy Gobert or DeAndre Johnson. However, he won't contribute much of anything offensively. After that, its a roll of the dice cause I don't feel comfortable about anyone else.

Bagley and thats it.

Actually he's one of the most likely to be a total bust. The guy has no position. He reminds me a lot of Michael Beasley. A guy who put up huge numbers in college cause he was bigger than the college 4s but lacks the size to do the same in the NBA. And he also lacks the athleticism to be a full-time SF.

Marvin Bagley is the guy I'm most interested to see measure at the combine. What height and wingspan he comes in at is gonna be crucial cause on the court he always looked small to me.
