coach k loves being a big fish in a small pond.He aint living his Cult at Duke for the NBA
True ... can't blame him.
Just wonder if he's ever had that itch like the other greats Spurrier , Saban, etc. ... to try it at the highest level .
But at the same time even if its a rebuilding job. you don't have to worry about recruiting, the NCAA, the alumni, player elgiblity, etc.
He left a rebuilding/reloading job at UF(his last squad sucked) and walked into a job with 2 top 5 players, opportunities don't really get any better than that, I don't think college coaches are gonna use him as an example.Donovan's made the jump more appealing to a lot, I think

Coach K might not have went over well in the NBA as a head coach. The man has a temper out this world and all that screaming shyt isn't working against grown ass men in the NBA. It's not like the Olympics where you have the most talented players in the world and basically just have to role the ball out and let them play.

Yea and damn near the whole starting 5 graduated, he was rebuilding breh, his last squad sucked and the roster he left the new coach sucked this past year too. Not saying he wouldn't have built it back up because he had to deal with the same issue after the Horford/Noah/Brewer class graduated, but that UF program was in rebuilding mode, he got out at the perfect time.
I agree.. losing teams hire new coaches for the most part. NBA re-tread Coaches go down in flames on the same bad teams the college coaches go down on

is John Calipari.
The Cavs offered him $80 mil to be the coach and team president and he turned it down to coach the Harrison Twins
He turned them down, then watched LeBron come back to Cleveland.
Harrison twins sucked, he didn't win any titles with them, & Cavs are about to be in the Finals for the 2nd straight year....
