Nope, it's still Oxford Mississippi.
LSU has better resources and will be able to field a better defense. Not to mention Baton Rouge is a better city.
Lane Kiffin hasn't shown loyalty anywhere he has been.
It's going to end badly at LSU just like it has everywhere else. Doesn't matter if he wins a National Championship. He will find a way to make himself hated when it's over.
There are levels to this.It ends badly for 99% of coaches in every sport. You get in that field and you know the most likely scenario to happen is you getting fired.
Let’s be serious here: Lane would have found a way to choke this game in spite of spectacular performances and plays.
It’s unsustainable in Oxford for anything more than a 1-3 year run and then having to break down and rebuild plus recruit and hope guys stick around.
This actually worked out perfectly for Ole Miss. No one is really talking about Lane. They can ride this wave and possibly retool quickly and stretch this another year. And imagine if they beat LSU early in the season next year….. The Lane Hate Machine can pump the dollars in for yet another run in 2027.
He f*cked up royally imo. Sure LSU has a bigger budget and more bells & whistles, but everything he's trying to accomplish at LSU was already there presently right now at Ole Miss. He's going to look a fool and probably ran out of town if LSU is not a top 10 program next year or doesn't make the playoff within the next two years. Walking away from a team that could possibly go to the championship game or god forbid win it all is crazy.
You're missing the point. Everything he's trying to do at LSU is already there at Ole Miss. These dudes might go to the championship game and could win the whole thing RIGHT NOW!! Not no fantasy hypotheticals on what he can potentially do at LSU next year or the year after that. The football gods might not even bless a move like that, walking out on the team that could win it all.Nope, it's still Oxford Mississippi.
