During an interview with the late Paul Bearer (William Moody) in*August 2012*PWTorch Livecast asked Bearer his thoughts on then WWE Champion CM Punk. Bearer reveled that The Undertaker gave CM Punk major endorsement in the WWE locker room during their introduction:"C.M. Punk is a class act, and he's got it," Bearer exclusively told PWTorch editor Wade Keller. "I didn't meet Punk until I went back for that six-month run (2010-2011). I had watched him on television, of course, but I had never met him in-person before."I'll never forget myself, Undertaker, Big Show, and a couple of other guys standing over in the corner just shooting the breeze. C.M. Punk came walking by and Taker says, 'Percy, have you ever met Punk?' I said, 'No, I havent.' Taker called him over there and he's very, very respectful to our business and to me for having never met me before."Taker introduced me to him and Taker's exact words to me were: 'Punk - he's one of us.' That was how I was introduced to C.M. Punk by The Undertaker. For him to say that about a talent, that just means everything in the world. And to say, 'He's one of us,' that just meant something to that little group that was there."

The real question is if Vince let's Taker acknowledge it himself. There's always been that deal with Taker not being allowed to break character on TV (look at the Ric Flair sendoff, for example...Taker couldn't come out until the telecast ended). Nothing would be more powerful than Taker speaking on Paul while standing in the middle of the ring, tearing up.

The only thing that would be acceptable would be Heyman coming down w/ the earn at some point. No mention of Paul's death directly.

I'd love for the rivalry to center around the urn in some way. Like, Punk and Heyman steal it before Mania and Taker gets it during the 'Mania match and honors it in the middle of the ring in Bearer's memory.

Maybe holds it up during his victory pose and leaves it in the middle on the ring. shyt would be

Yeah they could really put some emotion into this match with the urn and it wouldn't be disrespectful.

Heyman's acting w/ the urn would be huge too, that dude could really come off as a scumbag who stole the urn.

Like you said, Taker gets it back mid-match, wins and places the urn in the middle of the ring and does a "Rest In Peace.....Paul".

I hope not but they probably will so I'm just gonna see how they work it in while cringing. The urn idea is pretty good or you could have Punk mention that Taker's true power (urn/Paul) is gone and that the Streak will end it's just a matter of time. Taker beats Punk (if Punk mentions Paul he's GUARANTEED to lose) and dedicates 21-0 to Paul with the urn.

You know, with the three top matches I see why redemption is WM29's theme. HHH, Taker and Cena will redeem themselves

People mention Jerry, like King wasn't the one who suggested it (cuz that is how he is) for cheap heat.

Paul ain't around to do that, so I don't think Punk will go down that avenue.

Decades of WWE stars had respect for and/or loved the guy, no way they do that.
