I saw it's the top seller on Steam, for $5. which is impressive since Steam top sellers are determined by the amount of money the game made, so a $5 game has to sell a lot to beat a $60 game like Avengers

it looks cool, but in general I don't have the time to commit to multiplayer games like this

No clue. I was under the assumption it worked in tandem with discord. Or maybe the game itself has a voice chat function.

I looked it up and apparently, the game doesn't have that built-in

I played, for the first time yesterday. I was lost, and was just watching some dudes back, and he was watching mine, while we got ship tasks done. Whole time he was just waiting for an opportunity to snake me in the electric room smh. I had to float around as a ghost until him and the other imposter tried to accuse each other. They got spaced one after the other.

Played with the same group of 6-7 randoms for about an hour a couple nights ago.

Getting familiar with people play style really deepens the game and makes it more fun. You talk about the plays made or who fooled who while the next game starts
