A completely useless resolution.

All world leaders are aware of what Russia wants, because they've been saying it for years now.

They want an end to what they see as NATO encroachment to the East, if the U.S. offered to stop in exchange for Russia immediately withdrawing - Russia would agree.

But they're not going to do it.

Why can't Ukraine move closer to NATO or the EU? Is it not a sovereign nation?

I have no issue at all with Ukraine choosing which bloc of nations to ally with breh

position on regional control that’s been the backbone of international relations for about a century - Russia is buying in, in the same way the U.S. (there’s a reason the U.S. has completely surrounded Cuba militarily for decades).

It’s at once fascinating and frightening to watch the extent to which the public has been brainwashed by the U.S. After a century of her invading other countries, either unilaterally or subversively, unseating democratically elected governments for despots who fleeced the masses and massacred any who opposed them, the majority is still willing to give this country the benefit of the doubt.

India & China are part of the Shanghai Cooperation pact. Both countries also have disputed territories (Kashmir, Taiwan) that they tussle with others in the international community on. They'd be kneecapping themselves voting Yes.

I'm not sure about UAE, but I'm sure there's some $ at stake.
