With this critique, you’d figure Mos’ daughter Laila would be making important, non-commercial music that sounds just like Black On Both Sides right…?

What's is commercial about this at all? She not popping ass and the whole song is about self respect.

:jbhmm:
So are songs like Passionfruit and Texts Go Green. The exact same catchy, melody driven songs that do well on radio and are played while shopping.

Mos trying to play it sanctimoniously, as if his music hasn’t ever sold SKU’s for corporate sponsors in an attempt to throw shade is fake deep.

I've always said Drake's music is airport Uber/Lyft music when you're landing in a new state and the Uber/Lyft driver puts Drake on when he picks you up from the airport. The music becomes background noise that you don't really pay attention to much as you're more :ohhh: at the new city landscapes.

You be thinking back of the song when reminiscing, but it doesn't stick with you like that and becomes a song you remember small bits and pieces to.

The artistry of the rest of his catalog far outweighs the song he lent out in support of another black icon. I think the Jordan 16 commercial was poor example.

Y’all make excuses for hypocrisy based on who’s music or persona you like more.

Having your music being used in commercials while critiquing an artist for being too commercial is a choice.

The 40 year old man and young woman making the same music for the same audience isn't weird to you but it is to us.

There’s no hypocrisy, you’re just wrong and grasping for weird ass straws. You’re comparing a track from his album used to support Michael Jordan To pop music, engineered to chase trends and maximize sales.

Just because the word “commercial” is involved doesn’t mean it has the same usage.

:manny:
A stupid example is a stupid example. I’m sure there’s something else out there for you to try.
