Yeah, these robots are going to be gunning for jobs in about 5-10 years. Edit: new robot that does industrial work to “address worker shortages”.

It's over.

This is Dyna, and it's coming for your job.

Dyna runs 24/7, folding, fixing, hustling through the dirty work without flinching.

This isn’t just automation—it’s a new industrial era...

DYNA-1 is battle-tested to upscale-restaurant standards.

In a 24-hour run, it folded 850+ napkins autonomously, sustaining ~60% of human speed while holding a 99.4% success rate—zero interventions, full shift reliability.

Most robots fail at basic manipulation. DYNA-1 doesn’t. This isn’t about napkins. It’s about autonomy at scale.

- Pulls one napkin from a stack
- Adapts to out-of-distribution edge cases
- Transfers skills to laundry folding, cup filling & more

I’m ready for Dyna. That’s all I’ve wanted out of AI and robotics - for it to do my laundry. I’ll risk combat with it when it goes rogue. The cost/benefit analyses says “go”.

Someone on twitter said, I want my robots to clean and do dishes so i can spent time making art.

Not clean and do dishes while the robots make the art

Thats about what I want bots for, but you know capitalism will result in companies using AI to make human workers & creatives irrelevant
Idk what you're talking about

If you could just make your own art without having to worry about selling it to make money, you'd be happier, if you gave an artist enough money to retire right now they'd take that shyt in a heartbeat and continue to make art for the love of it :heh: you think they like the pressure of deadlines and having to appease clients over their own work that they do for fun?

If the robot making art is paying your bills with that money, it's not stopping you from also making art at your own leisure....

The main reason we have an impulse to work is for money so we can retire, instead of fighting against A.I. we should be fighting to set up universal income so that we can just enjoy life while robots do the shyt we don't want to

If you took money out of the equation right now the vast majority of people would quit their jobs :mjlol: you think the factory workers on this website enjoy clocking in? They only want to work for the reward of money.

We saw how stupid people looked during COVID practically begging to go back to jobs that they hated, those people's brains were cooked when they actually had all the free time in the world to figure out who they were as humans beyond a job title...shyt is sad

Working was never supposed to be the "goal" of life, it was a byproduct of capitalism and building a society when we didn't have the this technology available.

Our main responsibility right now is to make sure our current work>payment system changes alongside this AI/robot system.

They said this was built to “address worker shortages”.

Read that again.

Specifically said automotive, transportation, etc.

Yet people think manufacturing labor is coming back :mjlol::heh:

If you live long enough, you'll seen these private equity and venture capital funds run the same scams again and again and again and again...

I think it's important to have both context and perspective on the background forces behind automation. As somebody who was dealt with embedded circuits and robotics during undergrad, I gotta say that this sht is expensive as hell to develop. So you have to think about the motivations of the people who are funding it and how committed they are to keep doing so.

The VCs usually pivot to this robot nonsense after a economic collapse. I recall them doing the same thing in 2010 , and a year after the pandemic in 2021. The way the venture industry works, they need something that seems practical when investor funding dries up due to market conditions. The minute the economy bumps back up, these financial institutions will be back to pushing software unicorns . So I don't see any of these developments as long-term or earnest in nature.

These are first iterations.

10 years these things will be morphing/transforming, deploying smaller robots, flying themselves into-out-of places, while billing you on the flight back to base.

All these shyts is only in China..their desperate pursuit to prove how smart they are to the world will hurt them in the long run.

China begging to become a welfare state that has to now feed over a billion Chinamen sitting at home having been replaced by a robot..

These robots are what will bring Chinese society to its knees..
