Recruiting part of the job. And he should be a solid recruiter, but he's lost his cache by being exposed 2 straight seasons.

He's a good motivator, and at times can coach but he keeps placing targets squarely on his and his team's backs and every team wants to take their best shot at them.

A little humility would go a long way

not trying to recruit high school players as a college coach means he's a bad coach. his only value is as the CEO who can bring in talent, motivate and keep everyone on track. he's not a coordinator.

I know everybody was screaming out "black excellence" when Deion had all the celebs on he sideline and all in the locker room last season, but I wondered what the hell was he doing and was this the move to make. That being said, I also thought this would grant him access to any 4 & 5 recruits living room that he wanted. Now come to find out he's not even going after any high school recruits, just band aid portal players. His whole setup, "rah-rah", and celeb status was perfect for recruiting. But he doesn't want to recruit. Make it make sense.

He's not building anything, just creating a vessel for his sons & Hunter to get to the NFL. I'm rooting for the guy, but nothing is adding up at all. That first player meeting he had when he first touched down in Boulder where he told everyone to hit the portal was crazy in itself. I don't see them beating Colorado State this weekend :francis:
