In the wake of all that's gone on since the albums release it's again gracefully and getting better with time. Much like Nas' untitled

Kanye's album went over my old head but in the wake of what's going on in the black community now from consumerism to the police brutality this album is defining a generation

New slaves
Blood on the leaves
Black skinhead
Guilt trip
I'm in it

:wow:

It ain't no classic in my opinion, but it's definately not a bad album. There's a few misses like On Sight, but considering how short the album is those misses are noticeable. Still, the album got too much hate in Hip Hop circles and I wonder at times if it was simply a reaction towards the Hipster praise it was recieving. Kanye going out of his was to appease hipsters and gay trendies made one want to go out of their way to hate him and the album. Then the Sway sh!t and beggin the fashion industry to accept him, Kanye did a whole lot of b!tch sh!t last year.

Whole album would have been perceived differently if he made blood on the leaves track 1 like he was gonna.

On Sight/ I am a God both 10/10 gym songs as well. Album was made for the gym and whip.
This.

Major misstep by Kanye but he wanted to go in a weird direction but starting with BOTL would've made it better cohesively and more easily digestible.

My momma was raised in the era when
Clean water was only served to the fairer skin
Doin' clothes you would have thought I had help
But they wasn't satisfied unless I picked the cotton myself
You see it's broke nikka racism
That's that "Don't touch anything in the store"
And it's rich nikka racism
That's that "Come in, please buy more"
"What you want, a Bentley? Fur coat? A diamond chain?
All you blacks want all the same things"
Used to only be nikkas, now everybody playin'
Spendin' everything on Alexander Wang
New Slaves
