They put Rick Ross and others above him.

nahhh...that just shows how stupid the average fan is.

Of course Kanye isnt going to make music for the streets...the cat has been super famous for years...the only people in hip hop bigger than him is Jay and Eminem. So why would he still make music for the streets?

The streets aint shyt :heh:

oh...and the average hip hop fan isnt going to like this. This isnt a Rap album.
So if thats what you wanted I understand.

This doesn't surprise me. C@cs love it. So the hip-hop heads hate it. :yeshrug:
I'm reserving judgement until I buy it, but I swear ya'll worst than hipster fans. I don't think Ye could do anything musically at this point that's going to please everybody. I'm just gunna buy it and hope its that album he promised Good Ass Job (MBDTF) would be :mjpls:
I haven't listened to the album yet, but I thought "White Dress" was his best song in years.

MBDTF was mediocre and overproduced to me.

As I said in the other thread, I have to listen to this more, as it is pretty complex and requires more than 6 hours of being leaked for me to judge, but just because people dislike it doesn't mean their musical taste is bad.

I've seen a lot of posters on here hating on it, and some of these folks have pretty eclectic tastes in music.

Also, if I wanted to take the music snob angle, people mentioning Hudson Mohawke or deadmau5 as some next level shyt that you have to be into to understand Yeezus would be clowned relentlessly. I don't have any objection towards any form of electronic music, and listen to a wide range of stuff, the kind of stuff most people (unfortunatly) have never heard of and hip-hop fans are ignorant of. I still think this album is hard to judge despite my own eclectic tastes in music.

This album is so beyond anything in mainstream Hip-Hop, I'm not sure how anyone really can have an opinion on it already.

I get so sick of people trying to belittle others simply because they don't like an album. This shyt is trash. Just because some middle aged white reporter for the rolling stone calls it genius doesn't make it so. This album will definitely appeal to the rock and roll/house music crowd so of course those guys will eat this up.

If Yeezy came into the game with this crap he would get shytted on and rightfully so. Now it appears people are simply praising this garbage simply because they're fascinated by this clown. Its outrageous and pathetic at the same time.

I can't stop listening to it, but I'm not sure where it stands amongst his other work yet or other albums this year. On top of hip-hop, I listen to IDM, Alternative rock, and a lot of alternative R&B, so I'm basically in the Hipster realm when people are referring to white people and hipster eating this shyt up.

let's be reality. right now Kanye can drop an album of him farting and it would get a 4 star minimum from some of these sites.

OF course not. But again i've seen many derisive comments aimed at people like myself from numerous posters and "bloggers" intimating that if you somehow don't like this album, your somehow an unsophisticated music listener. I'm simply calling those clowns out on that bullshyt. Musical preference is based on OPINIONS. If people enjoy this, their preferences are likely not in line with mine.

Agreed. White Dress was that Ye I missed. But ya'll remember when he was claiming that MBDTF was going to be on some hiphop shyt? :wow: Big ass disappointment

Center self, inner self
White people using reverse psychology on this nikka

inception trolling

White critics and nonhiphop centered publications are going to eat this up. The album will probably split hip-hop blogs and publications though. It seems right now though 75% of what I'm seeing from hip-hop centered places online has been negative.

This post and the one above it are making me seriously think about
whats being said :ohhh:

agreed
