I dont know, but you can download your music to X1 and use the Xbox music app to play music while playing a game.

I don't see why not. If anything you can run those programs in the browser

yeah i used to have loads of music on my xbox, then i got an app for my ipod that let me stream straight to my xbox so i deleted all my old music on my hard drive

would rather have just been able to plug my ipod straight into my xbox though

You can watch fukkin TV while you play a game, or hook up any app. Music/etc. Its all good on XB1

The music option on the xbox is also called xbox music. But the question was can you use your own music which is YES. Now if this was sony, yes, that answer could be a cryptic one.
I'm glad you notice that now since you never noticed it when sony would lie blatantly

But Microsoft doesn't act that way (Tru Story) So I'm sitting here telling you, putting my reputation on the line that Xbox doesn't say shyt like that to mislead its customers.

Meh, who cares. The PS4 doesn't support MP3s at launch, but'll likely support AAC/M4A audio files. The better question is will the Xbox1 support DLNA.
