:ehh: Meh, who cares. The PS4 doesn't support MP3s at launch, but'll likely support AAC/M4A audio files. The better question is will the Xbox1 support DLNA.
An even better question is why did you just make up things the PS4 will support :wtf:
Show me a link, or at the very least (since you won't be able to) is tell us where you got that from

Xbox will make use of DLNA guaranteed. They already said that much previously. Go google it yourself
And why is DLNA functionality a topic in this thread. Changing the topic doesn't make a PS4 more compatible :umad:

There the stans go again making up their own narrative...it will most likely based off of nothing, but whatever makes you sleep better :ld:

You didn't answer my question.
I dont need to:manny:

But to answer, because im a nice guy I dont know, but I do know that the X1 has HDMI in so I can plug up a few devices that I have now to get it.

Meanwhile sony has hid music playback behind a paywall, and you are over here asking question about xbox because you are hoping that we dont have it too...misery loves company I guess. :wtb:

I dont use iTunes or download the files because my Car stereo wont play those files off the USB

MP3 is universal, well on everything but PS4, but you get what I mean :umad:

You might wanna upgrade. I don't really use AAC/M4A either, but I make sure all my devices support it incase I switch over.

It's common sense. The PS4 MUST support AAC/M4A audio files because videos from the PS Store, Videos Unlimited, & other VOD services uses AAC audio.

is it even going to have some kind of media player though?

seems like they want people to use Music Unlimited, period

Yes. The PS4 needs a media player to play the media files downloaded from the various VOD services.

They limited it for a reason, and it was to force you to buy from them, just because it can play those files doesnt mean they will allow you to access the option to play them, just like bluetooth, and how they are limiting it to just their devices even tho it can connect to any bluetooth
