What were your thoughts at the time, after and now?

I think they were refreshing as hell during their time and their debut was :wow: I wasn't watching NXT at all really when they were though so I didn't know wtf was going on. Remember everyone wondering if we were getting worked with Bryan getting fired :heh: At the time I thought Barrett shouldve went over Orton in the match where Cena was ref but looking back that probably wasn't the best idea. Never saw the Summerslam match where Bryan returned but once they did The New Nexus it was :camby: status.

Barrett is still a guy I like despite them jobbing him out recently. DBry went to the top since then..Darren Young seems like he might be headed for a tag title reign eventually. Ryback had a big rise then fall but he's somewhere in the middle now..the rest :scusthov:

They're definitely under The Shield as far as stables guy but they were the best new stable WWE had done years at the time to me.

5 years since it was undoubtable that Cena was a political piece of garbage and the ONLY reason they are under Shield in history is because they were protected for two years while Nexus didn't even last the fall of 2010. Even though they sold more merchandise and got buyrates up more than the Shield ever did.

My interest in wrestling/WWE was heavily dipping around that time but that shyt brought me back :wow: It was the hottest thing for a good half year and CM Punk forming the New Nexus was :ohhh: too. But then Cena moved on to Miz and Nexus didn't have anything to do. Then shortly after the Summer of Punk was born :blessed: Without those two angles I would have been threw WWE in the bushes

Thoughts that night? :leon: Who are these guys? That was pretty cool!

Thoughts now? Maybe it wasn't such a bad thing that a group where Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel were threats didn't make it :heh:

Bryan and Ryback are the only ones who'll make money for the company and they wouldn't get their real chance if they were stuck with the group for long period of time IMO. Bryan would be seen as Wade's lackey for a couple years and would've stunted his development of his underdog character. And Ryback would've got them deavours a couple years ago since he wouldn't get over as Skip.

Oh, that night I preached the gospel of change to everyone who could read, of how that was a great time to be a wrestling fan, because those young fellas and my boy D-Bry just destroyed everything and everyone, and they were going to run wild on the 'E for months, because the whole thing was unprecedented.

Yeah, that lasted like two or three weeks :francis:

One of the dopest WWE debuts ever. However not long after they messed it up by creating the core and making Wade lose constantly. WWE should had two or three more legit stars from that story.
