I'm so late because I've been dumb busy but I'm listening to this album now and enjoying it to be honest.

The Production is dope and I love that Mustard produced the majority of it that's what's missing in rap today. Just the cohesiveness of not having a million different producers sounds going down on one album.

YG isn't a good rapper but he gets by (which is what I expected). The production and features go hard.

The streets are going to eat this up and I'm gonna play this album a lot. I grew up on West coast rap the same way kids grew up on Southern rap today.

I love that he paid homage to the old west coast classics.....from Rapin 4 Tay-Playaz Club to the Dogg pound-Let's Play House sample on Do It To Ya.

1 AM beat is CRAZY!!!! That BASSLINE!!!! dog!! :banderas:

brehs, ive seen the light. all it took was a reunion with some tree :pachaha:. i was quick to dismiss most of the songs due to his lyrics, but the beats carry him well and yg does just enough on most tracks. the album is also sequenced pretty well. the samples of past classics are dope, this album has definitely grown on me :obama:

:whoa: Slow down woadie.

We'll see what happens.....but that's my opinion. Mustard is the sound of 2013-2014 so I don't think that's that crazy of a statement. I wasn't speaking on quality I was speaking on impact. "My nikka" is already a smash, Who Do you love is ringing out....we'll see what happens when they release the next single and we move into the summer. This is gonna ring out LA this summer. I feel it.

i fukks with the album. My favorite album from a new artist in years. Tm101 was a movement, we'll probably never see that type of movement in hop hop again.

Yeah thats true nothing with hit like the albums that dropped in the 2000s a la Get Rich or Die Trying and how Jeezy tore up the streets with the Gangsta Grillz and then TM101.....shyt doesn't sell like it did then and there are a lot of marginal stars but no real superstars.....but you know what I mean when I say this will resonate with the streets, it's evident already and I think looking back people are gonna see this YG album as one of the hardest of the year and a classic for it's time period (not necessarily a flawless 5 mic album) but just the sound of the time. That's all I meant....it's def not gonna reach the level of TM101. It had too much behind it, from drama to the BMF energy to the south really just snatching the game.

the game been missing that west coast gangsta shyt imo.Game been out but he worked with producers from everywhere so his music didnt always have that true west coast sound. I still dont see how schoolboy q can sell so much more than yg.
