Bob Dole invited him after Eazy made a contribution to the Republican Party. There was a grouo called the Inner Circle back then, Arnold was involved, Sam Walton (Wal-Mart owner) was involved, who were basically a supergroup of Repub donors, industry leaders, and celebs. Seems like Dole was trying to see if Eazy was trying to get involved. As the figurehead of hip-hop at the time, would have been huge.
I remember him saying he donated to a lot of different charities and his name (Eric Wright) got picked up out of other names and then he got the invitation.
