I wanna put my son on some shyt, there's MMA, basketball and soccer teams near the vicinity.
But also wondering about other shyt like robotics and what not.

What do ya'll do to get your kids onto some different type of thigns

Put him in Boxing

Teaches him discipline, ups his fitness, and work ethic. And it's very helpful in real life situations as well

My daughter is in Swimming, theater (she regularly see’s kid oriented live performances/ her mom actively does theater, and sometimes TV so my daughter gets to hang out with cast and production leading up to stuff).

We also have her enrolled in live book reading events at the library, sometimes it’s kind of like a live Gracie’s corner.

We also regularly take her to wildlife parks and sporting events.

She’s only 1 and a half so she can’t really do anything cool yet. I’m saving all my “I’m sooo proud of yewwwww…” shyt for when she starts hooping.

Do not do weight training unless you want to stunt your kids growth. For early ages, soccer, baseball and basketball should be your primary focus, then you go from there and see what your kid gravitates towards. Weight training should start at 17+.

There's also other extra curricular besides sports, musical instruments, dancing, math courses, language courses, art/painting, camping, etc.

My godson usually does little league and sings with the kids at church
I feel like he played chess last year
Now he is taking guitar lessons
He is like 12/13
But he is spoiled so he really is going wherever his mom and grandma goes, and they are busy bodies so it's not like he is sitting at home all day at any point in time

Im an advocate for some type of self defense, above anything else.

Boxing. MMA. Karate.

Especially if your son is Black...

Sign em up for everything you can afford to, then they’ll stick with what they like. But the main thing is to expose them to as much as possible.

And I agree fully with the posters advocating for boxing, ju jitsu, etc. Every child should be taught to defend themselves. Sending a child out into the world unprepared in this regard is damn near criminal in my opinion.

This was debunked in the early 00s. Old wives tale
