Current Rap, at least in terms of style, is like 80s hair metal.
Look at Wiz, Wayne or any other skinny jeans wearing rapper and compare em to Motle Crue and those other hair metal bands.

Rap and Rock are kinda parallel to each other

in the 60, or golden era or rock, you had The Beatles, Zepplin and Sabbath
In the 70s it started to get watered down
In the 80s it got real crazy, with makeup and big hair and shyt
Then, the 90s hit, and it all changed. Rock got nirvana, grunge, sound garden, etc. It made a resurgence and got good again

Now, look at rap

90s are considered the golden era
2000s were kinda bleh and watered down
2010s are all about dressing up like a bytch, with skinny jeans any questionable clothes. Making songs only for the ladies, etc.

If the trend continues, we should have great rap next decade.

Good observation but you forgot about the part in the 80s when wealth cacs started investing in our shyt, therefore limitin the artistry of the hip hop culture.
