Being "black" is a Western concept. So y'all making up the rules of what it constitutes.

“...my point is that the only authentic identity for the African is the tribe...I am Nigerian because a white man created Nigeria and gave me that identity. I am black because the white man constructed black to be as different as possible from hiswhite. But I was Igbo before the white man came.” - Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie

A lot of Africans don't relate with blackness like that. For us it's always been a fluid concept as is how we belong to our tribe. I'm an Asante, if your mother is an Asante - you are Asante. I know it's the same with Jews. It's just a social construct. There's no biological thing as race -- so ethnicity is determined by a bunch of made-up ideas.
As much as you want to repeat this, its almost pointless because dudes will still want to dance around this

:why: why do multi-racials/biracials insist on defining "blackness" by actions as if every black person believed or act the same?

hypothetically, I don't care if Will Farrel and Marky Mark are "down for the cause" and "act black" (whatever that is) ...they still aren't "black" and neither are biracials...it's not an insult...but How can you just outright dismiss half of what you are as if it didn't exist??

Its deep sir..I think mixed people themselves are a minority smaller in numbers than African Americans..
If they don't identify with Blacks, then they either have to form their own communities and foster a brand new culture and identity for themselves. Who has time for that? Other option is to identify with cacs..but from the looks of things, they know cacs well enough to know they aren't to be aligned with. They recognize the privilege they'd get from 'living' with cacs but seem turned off by the idea. They use 'actions' to define 'blackness' because they dont have the 'look', but instead can use mannerisms, speech etc to pass..

It may even be racist when they insist Blacks recognize them..basically saying, youre going to accept me whether your Black ass likes it or not. They are in a tight spot for survival, and I dont think they want to fukk with Creoles either..

71 pages deep but has anyone defined what a "black" person is? What are the genetic qualifiers and how are we testing for this?

I'll skip to the end... there is no objective definition of "black" because race is a social construct given to us by the power structure. We took that sh*t and ran with it.

A person never needed two black parents to be considered black you idiot. This is why biracials were born into slavery just like all the other brown skinned people of African descent classified as black. Whites created the term "black". What part of that don't you people get? If you all don't like the term black and how it's defined then create your own term so that you can define it however you want like Tiger Woods did. You people like fools trying to take a term that is already defined, ignore the true definition in favor of your own personal definition, then pretend that it holds weight.
:mjlol: wtf "to be considered black".

IM about to stop using this shyt. Apparently biracial people are only black when they do things that black people benefit from and can take racial credit for. Ex. X, Marley, etc.

But if you're a biracial person who lives as a black person and goes through black hardships than it doesn't matter :mjlol:

I don't even consider myself biracial. My mother was black and white and my father was Afro-Dominican. Meaning African descent and Dominican nationality. Don't know how that makes me biracial but according the coli, I am.

It's just insensitive to say that biracial people aren't black. When plenty of them face the same hardships that full black people face, and that ride out for the cause. You take someone like J.Cole. Who was raised black, speaks on the issues, gives back to the community, and acknowledges and has dealt with the hardships of being black in this country, and then tell him "you ain't black" it just seems wrong to me. But it is what it is.

I don't distance myself from the black community, but if this shyt actually grew fire and became a serious topic, than I wouldn't support it, at all. It isn't right.

How is that insensitive exactly? Insensitive would be calling biracials sellouts or stupid? But to say that they are not exclusively one race, is fact. Your mother was not black, she was a biracial woman that identified with mainly black side...why is it such a struggle to accept that reality. There have been whites alongside blacks in civil rights movement should we now consider them honorary blacks because of it? It's not personal, black Americans or any black people need to define themelves if they dont, it will work against them. BIracials are part of black america but are at the same time their own subgroup.

Your mother was biracial not you...if you choose to forsake the black community because of that...then sounds like you have ulterior motives.
