Final Fantasy 10 was better than this, 9 is arguable. 12 was pretty much this game with less dynamic gameplay (albeit much more control). Xenoblade is dope but its far from flawless. The way the game sputters to its conclusion really sets it back for me.

That Ni No Kuni shyt looks hella bleh tho. anyone fukk with it yet?

Final Fantasy 6 and 10 are the best imo. 9 probably had the best art style (the world that the game takes place in is very creative and original) but the battle system was kinda dull.

That Ni No Kuni shyt looks mad corny. Hopefully the hype around that game dies down once people realize it's a shytty game (based on the demo I played).

If you like Dragon Quests games then you'll like it.

Also for those who are basing their opinions about this game based on the demo, the demo doesn't do the game justice by a long shot. The Demo doesn't do the battle system and the rest of the game justice.

My only problem with the game is the childish nature of it at times is a bit much. However, it reminds me of the zelda games on DS as far as the environment of the game.

They see me trolling, they hating.....
I never even finished a JRPG in my life

FFX came out in 2001 and I never even beat that. ( After all these years I'm still only on the 2nd or 3rd Seymore battle)

Dunno why I got this game if it will take me a lifetime to beat it :why:

Is "grinding" important in Xenoblade? (and Last Story?) or can I just plow through the story by just using my brain and picking the right moves at the right time?

Grinding = taxing and a waste of time imo

I'm playing through Final Fantasy X right now on my PC and its not seeing this game. The game is very highly linear and honestly it has virtually no epic moment factor to it. its a very even game in terms of quality but it always plays it safe and doesn't break the mold until the very end.

in terms of story progression the ending of Xenoblade is nuts. it keeps trying to up itself over and over again and the plot becomes full of epic moments. probably the worst aspect of it is the very end which feels like a cop out.

Final Fantasy 6 has too many dead weight characters. i actually like the game until the second half of it where it completely changes structure and basically takes a do whatever you want from here on out attitude. i completely lost interest in it at that point.

Final Fantasy 9 is criminally slept on. probably the best game in the series in terms of plot and characters. Final Fantasy 9 and 10 are both fun games. they don't take themselves too seriously and for the majority of the game the characters enjoy their adventures. a drastic difference from something like 7 or 8 where everybody is miserable as fukk and it all feels like a chore. that and the fact that 7 and 8 have shytty emotionally stunted main characters.

grinding in xenoblade isn't really essential because the leveling up happens at a reasonable rate, so by the time you reach the end you will be around level 65 regardless and you can beat the game on about level 68-70. also if you are fighting a boss and you die you keep the experience points that you got during the fight so if its a tough fight you might level up after one or two deaths and you will be stronger. also, i think all the characters level up even if you aren't using them.

in the last story you have to grind a little and because the exploration isn't as great the grinding can become repetitive.

Thats bad storytelling more than anything. None of that shyt that happened was exactly foreshadowed. It was well told but cliche as hell.

Xenosaga 3 is wayyyyyy better in any case.

I live in the United States
never played a metroid game in my entire life

but since i have access to all these free wii games i figure why not?

which joint should I check out Metroid Prime 3 or The other M?

Both, they totally different games.
Prime is a first person shooter, Other M is like how Metroid was on the NES with SNES graphics
I personally wouldn't compare it to super metroid which was SNES

You need to get this. If you got a decent laptop/pc you can just use dolphin and play it on there. I'm rolling with a lenovo and experience no lag playing it.

Game is utter piff.

....:sadcam: why did I come in here and see this. I'm still struggling with the fact that I softmodded my PS2 a few weeks ago.

I do NOT need new videogame addiction.
