Bron still the best in the world by Kawhi is closing on him rapidly and it's not a knock for someone to consider KD the best either. Definitely think they are the 3 best in some type of order though.

Exactly.

I get why Curry is in the discussion too, but he just can't impact the game enough of the defensive end or inside for him to be up with the other three.

What's he the best at?

He's absolutely the most effective driver and scorer in the NBA, and you can argue that's the #1 most important offensive skill, because you singlehandedly get the ball from the perimeter to the hoop for the #1 most high percentage shot.

He's still easily the best passer/distributor of all the elite scorers in the NBA.

When he's able to focus on defense he's still the scariest team defense player of any elite scorer. I ain't buying that Durant suddenly passed him there just because KD looks good on D when he's surrounded by three All-Defensive players AND gets a light load on the offensive end. With the injuries to Love/JR this year and the lack of any backup point whatsoever, Lebron took on too much on offense and had to save energy on defense as a result. But when he's allowed to lock in he's still a better rim protector and help defender than anyone else on the elite list.

He's the best elimination game player in the NBA. No one else performs as consistently as him when the chips are on the line.

The NBA's GM's voted him the best leader in the NBA when the season started.

On the other side, he's not nearly as good a shooter as Durant or Curry, Kawhi seems to have passed him there too, Kawhi plays MUCH better one-on-one defense than him. Besides that, what are any of those guys better than him at?

No one in the NBA transforms the game as much when they enter. The Warriors are still great without Durant, Spurs still look like a machine without Kawhi, but Lebron can take literally any 4 teammates from the Cavs and make them look like a Finals team. Lineups like Kyrie-JR-Jefferson-Love-TT got destroyed by mediocre squads this year, but stuff like Shump-Liggins-Korver-Lebron-Frye out there destroying teams. Who else can do that?

1-3 in ya last 4 finals is borderline Buffalo Bills status. Playing in the east :hhh:

Ya'all are so braindead with this "logic". Doesn't playing in the East make it HARDER to have a good Finals record?

And his last three Finals were:

1. Took a loaded Warriors to 6 with a lineup of Delly, JR, Shump, and TT.
2. Beat the 73-win Warriors in 7 after being down 3-1.
3. Lost in 5 to a Warriors team starting four All-NBA players from last year plus the 2015 Finals MVP.

No one else in the NBA is doing #1. No one else in the NBA is doing #2. Kawhi is the only other player in the NBA who could do #3, and I doubt he could do it outside of a Pop-coached team.

How are Lebron's accomplishments a knock on his NBA status when literally no one else in the NBA could have pulled it off?

Lebron still had 3 of the last 6 titles, and the other 2-3 were up against literally impossible odds on a historic level.

Durant is clearly better on both ends of the floor, Leonard is closing in. Calling him the best player on the planet... or the best player by miles now is just cringe worthy shyt.

Entering 2017 there's 2-3 guys I'd put above him.

Yeah it is about to be 2018 in NBA years and cats still using that best player in the world shyt to describe Bron??

You all still wearing FUBU too?

But Durant is better, and younger. Led the Warriors to 60 plus wins.

When they won 73 the year before without him. :dead:

And what does younger have to do with it? We're not talking trade deals. :childplease:

I'm not even saying that there's not an argument for Durant. There IS, I said that earlier, and I've made it before. But ya'alls arguments for it are trash right now.

KD led all scorers with 30+ PPG shooting over 50% at age 23 in the finals against the Heat, a superteam led by a supposed top 5 ever player in his athletic prime. That stupid ass "Bron is KD's daddy" fukk boy ass narrative like Bron was incomparably better in all aspects was dumb then and it's indefensibly stupid now.

It's funny now that the shoe's on the other foot and Durant's in his prime on an even more stacked team getting the W in the finals Bron stans gotta fall back on the "B-b-b-b-but he averaged a triple double!1!!!!1" defense like they weren't crucifying Westbrook and calling him a stat-padder who doesn't win games earlier in the season for accomplishing the same thing.

KD ain't the only one in the conversation either; AD averaged 31/11/3 shooting over 50% against the Warriors at only 21 years old with an even worse team than Bron's injury depleted Cavs back in 2015; I remember everyone calling James "obviously the best" because he managed 35 ppg against the same team chucking endlessly shooting <40%. Lebron might still be great but he's nowhere near the undisputed best in the league anymore and hasn't been in a while. The corny ass takes people keep coming up with to try and deny this are getting old in 2017.

Basketball, like all sports, is a game of narrative. Kobe was considered the best player in the world all those years up Until 2011. Was he neccesarily better than lebron, duncan, wade,KG each and every single season all those years?
The narrative that curry is nothing more than a 3 point shooter has persisted since he entered the league and to this day, some brainwashed nba fans still hold on to it despite the stats showing curry as an amazing finisher around the rim and very good rebounder for a point guard.

There are many more narratives but those two are what comes to mind for now.

The bottomline is most nba/sport fans are brainwashed sheeps who do not have a single original thought and just Regurgitate all the media narrative/propaganda.
