About 6 months ago I tried to opt out of every use of my data possible. I'm wondering if it actually works and if so how much it applies to. That could explain why some of y'all are getting personalized ads while others of us don't.

Even if you do this, many individual websites asking for Cookies will try to have you (re)approve personalized ads again. Any site that just gives you an option to click 'Agree' and not 'Reject', you need to go to Manage your options. There they will try to make you accept/agree blindly again but you need to check if everything is opted out and then confirm your choices/save & exit.

For the record, opting out of your data does help a lot but it's not a failsafe since a ton of sites are sneakingly trying to get you to agree again.
