I assumed everyone understood the @Unknown Poster was talking about the more extreme cases. There wouldn't be much to talk about if it was just stock market news coming from Fox news.

That's an example of a made up story coming out of right wing filter bubbles yet and still, it made it's way onto TLR and had posters all riled up.
Oh definitely I noticed it when I would read forums on reddit for "unpopular opinions". Much of it would go on about how democracy was "overrated"

Anytime you present a sound argument that utilizes facts, logic, and reasoning...they either respond with deflections, trolling, insults, or they just block you.

There was an article about Covid 19 that blamed China for it and bordered on complete racist fan fiction.
I just said it was Trump's fault that the corornavirus spread, because he didnt take action, and shut down the CDC centers that Obama established to deal with the Swine Flu and they banned me.
Conservatives/Republicans/Right Wingers are no bastion of truth at all. Infact, they stay trying to prop up fake narratives to support their talking points (like Pizzagate).

I think, most just aren't politically inclined and they honestly don't know who they are posting from. We had a discussion on this before, put simply, most people don't understand the importance of not sharing content posted by those political accounts, they don't have the wherewithal to consider the intent behind the posting, besides just the content they want to share. The intent is important, but you will really only know that if you are familiar with how propaganda intersects with politics, and why it is important, which is easily back by historical reference. The game is still the same with the internet, it's just much easier than it has ever been for propagandists.
I have been in debate communities, had a lot of vocal debates, my experience with argumentation and conservatives is that they are easily the least logical, it's so bad that I actually know all of their arguments better than them, it's why I moved on from debating with them.
Biggest issue is that people interpret "logic" to mean " what I agree with" as opposed to what it actually means.
These fukkers don't understand logic, they have never engaged with it and it shows, there is a reason why an overwhelming number of philosophers are liberal, and why and even notable number of those are socialists. Being "logical" and "conservative" (the internet definition) is hard as fukk. I could easily play conservative like a dumbass for money but building actual arguments that hold up to scrutiny and bear little contradiction is hard a fukking hell. It's why people in debate communities are fiending for a "smart conservative", it's why in that "are there any smart conservatives" thread I was adamant about there not being any. The "smart" conservatives, in my experience debating, just cede ground after ground while still remaining conservative even though they typically can't defend anything, they just grew up conservative and tie it with their personality.
This is the obvious conclusion of educated (not just formal) and critically thinking individuals, some people just like debate and engage in it anyways, but we all know, deep in the back of our minds, although we are reluctant to say it, you know these people are simply just stupid. Once we reach the point that we can identify that publicly and it be accepted publicly, we can begin making considerable progress for alleviating it, most notably in the education and rearing department.
