i've lived on the east and west side of the D, typically, if you aint doin dirt or flashin money/gang signs you pretty much good

its a LOT of hard workers that out number the goon/killers

Props for you, but some of these posters here are literally screaming that they are more authentic than you cause they came from the hood. Most people don't care where ya from, they care where yo head at.

In 2013 dude who played Carlton on The Fresh Prince could get away with talking about street shyt as long as real gang members was eating off him. Shame on this new generation.

Not a good analogy because carlton played by Alphonso was known a the coldest dance nikka on earth after Michael Jackson as a breaker and would be featured anywhere break'n.
He was the original grassroots Broadway actor teen dancer turned phenom
Carlton is just your gen's drawing character and act for Alphonso ribiero.
real talk, Alphonso used to be the realest young nikka alive for a whole generation and time period.
He was the epitome of the street dancer street kid, fully actualized Broadway dance talent who made it.

The reason why Carlton worked is because Alphonso was playing the complete opposite of what brought him originally to the dance.

If you never saw the PBS special on gangs to see crazy legs.
Chances are in my Gen, you could have seen Alphonso ribiero as your very first image break'n and he was that good of a breaker, and dancer....like one of the best we ever saw in our Gen as a dancer that was not Michael Jackson. Before break'n or beatstreet he was the main image of break'n to the national audience.
