black folks drop their r’s that why a lot of us say “sto “ instead of store the n word and nikka are the exact same thing.

I study linguistics fam. Dropped R's considered, nikka and the other word are overwhelmingly spoken in different tones, contexts and wouldn't go unnoticed if you tried to straight up substitute one for the other.

If they have two different pronunciations. common contexts, warrant different reactions, it isn't exactly a 'potato/po-taht-o situation.

nikkas know this, they just trying to be different. I cut down my usage as I’ve gotten older but that word is engrained in the culture. They aren’t the same

No such thing as a hard -er in AAVE and Southern vernaculars -er becomes -a

Y’all gotta learn what a dialect is. :francis:

There are plenty of harmophonic words that are separated by pronunciation and definition with 1 letter difference let alone 3.

Tire and Tire are the same word. After a long day I’m tired because I just put some new wheels on my car so it’s tired too :ohhh:

:stopitslime:

You speaking the white mans English if you see it as the same word.:mjpls:

It's only different because this ahistorical idea that White men weren't calling Black men nikka without the "er".

This "er" vs "a" shyt is peak juelzing and it's long past time Black people stop lying to themselves about it.

Words only have meaning that we ascribe to them. If you call someone a fakkit no one thinks you're referring to them as a bundle of sticks

It's the same fukking word. I remember my pop was upset at me and my brother for saying the N word. He really hate that word. He said that was the dumb shyt he had ever heard, when they said it's different that end with "a" not with "er".

Bigga - Bigger

I never used to say it. Then my friend group in college used it so damn much that I took it on. I found it very useful depending on subject matter you know? The intonation pitch lol.

But overall it’s very crass and I want to remove it from my vocabulary again.
